California Governor Jerry Brown has been attempting to work on fixing the California budget, but has recently been forced to think up a completely new plan to tackle the issue. Currently California has a budget deficit that is larger than any other state budget, with a deficit of over $25 billion. In an attempt to undertake this budget issue, which started many years ago, the state government has already made some painful cuts in the past.

We all remember Arnold Schwarzenegger's commercials where he discussed spending cuts by holding a butcher knife, right? Some of the cuts approved by the legislature for the year 2010 - 2011 had a large impact on the poor and working class citizens, with about $7.8 billion in spending cuts.
