The Trump International Hotel and Tower, also known as Trump Tower or sometimes the Chicago Towers Hotel, is not only a 5-star luxury hotel in downtown Chicago, it also has both hotel and residential condo apartments available too. On top of which it is a Chicago tourist attraction in its own right. It is the second-highest building in the city, after the Willis Tower (formerly the Sears Tower), and is also the second-tallest building in the USA.

First-time guests at the Trump International may be very surprised at the hotel's 5-star style. Anyone anticipating the flashy bling more associated with, say, Ivana Trump, will be astonished to see the more under-stated approach of the next generation. Ivana's daughter Ivanka Trump has been very involved with the Chicago Trump Tower and the result is an astonishingly tasteful low-key luxury: sumptuous but subtle.

The Trump International is just north of the Chicago River, and two blocks west of the main Magnificent Mile shopping street of Chicago, on Michigan Avenue. Both its bar, just above the lobby, and its Sixteen Restaurant have impressive views, especially at night-time. The Sixteen Restaurant provides diners with views of both the Wrigley Clock Tower and the Chicago Tribune Building through its 30ft floor-to-ceiling windows. The menu is international and dishes such as halibut on a bed of truffle-bacon risotto show that the kitchen under Australian-born chef Frank Brunacci is out to impress.
